Enemy Attributes:
- Fast: enemy rush, burst of high movement speed enemies spawned together, strong vs long range
- Thermal: resist hold/cold
- Heavy Armor: resist sharp
- Lead: Immune to darts, sharp, countered by bombs
- Rubber: regrow back to their original size if only partially popped, resist aoe
- Camo: pass by enemies unseen
- Zappelin: a gigantic very slow enemy that contains 4 mini-zeppelins. chain spawns enemies on death
Encounters:
- Boss Coverage: enemy sequence 3-9 mini enemies with 1 hp in front to absorb the heavy hitting towers and put their attacks on cooldown, followed by bosses that don't die. Thus the mini enemies job is cover the bosses. Your job is to learn this pattern and build against it.
Upgrades:
- Sniper: infinite range, can attack from everywhere, limitation on how fast it kills, weak vs fast / many.
- Triple Shot: Fires 3 shots instead one.
- Depleted Bloontonium Darts: specially modified darts that can hurt any bloon type.
- Powerful Darts: shoot with greater velocity [affects not tower attack speed, but missle speed]
- Impact: enemes become stunned for a short time when they are hit
- Enhanced Eyesight: Longer range, same attack speed = you get few more hits before enemy comes and before he leaves based on extra distance covered.
- Sonic Boom: smash through frozen. Before Sharp couldnt damage frozen.
- Boomerang: Throws a boomerang that does aoe damage and returns back. Circular attack pattern.
- Shuriken: Fires in a straight line piercing all enemies and striking everything behind them.
- Distraction: enemies struct will become distracted and move the wrong way temporarily [they move backwards instead of forwards, = like a mini teleport, so from a balance perspective its like granting allied towers few extra attacks of opportunity per wave or extra range, maybe viable vs a delay point with lots of freeze towers].
- Glue Tower: Slows enemy.
- Bloon Dissolver: contains an extreme solvent that melts bloons. [should be armor/resistance debuff]
- Glue Splatter: instead of glueing 1 bloon at a time, splatters 6 bloons at a time.
- Corrosive Glue: Makes glue pop bloons every few seconds while glued [like poison]
- Stickier Glue: Makes glue effect last much longer.
- Dartling Gun: machine gun, super fast, but not very accurate, every 3rd hit will be a stray one that will miss i.e fire it a little upwards and will most likely miss. The dartling gun will shoot towards wherever your mouse is, so you control how effective it is! [which means that you can have only 1 per map because it requires your manual control]
- Focused Firing: Greatly reduces the spread of the gun [before it could fire stray hits]
- Tack Shooter: Shoots 8 tacks spread in all directions, each tack can pop 1 bloon, has short range and medium-slow fire rate. [Every pulse does aoe damage, slow attack speed, like immolate]
- Bomb Shooter: Shoots a single bomb that explodes in a radius burst on impact [fireball]
- Ice Tower: Freezes bloons in its burst radius for a short time, frozen bloons are immune to sharp
- Enchanced Freeze: Freeze effect lasts longer
- Arctic Wind: Super cold aura that slows all bloons that come near the tower
- Permafrost: Makes bloons so cold that they move slowly even after thawing out [after freeze ends]
- Viral Frost: bloons are frozen so cold that they freeze other bloons that come in contact with them, spreading the freeze like a virus
- Ice Shards: creates razor sharp pieces of ice on frozen bloons when popped, that fly out and pop more nearby bloons [chain reaction explosion]
- Mortal Tower: Choose a specific ground position where the towers attack will go, every [slow attack speed] sec a mortal will be launched and hit that location. [aoe sniper tower, but can only hit one spot, not whole map as sniper, but has aoe capacity.
- Exploding Pineapple Trap: When placed will explode after 3 sec. [hard to aim, because 3 sec takes forever to arm, usually misses]
- Pineapple Present: tower spawns an exploding pineapple every 3 sec. [thus like mortar every 3 sec explosive attack]
- Road Spikes Trap: Place on the track to pop bloons, each pack can pop 11 bloons before being used up. Use these to get bloons that escape past your towers.
- Spike Factory: Generates piles of road spikes on bits of nearby track, each pile can pop 5 bloons, and unused spikes disappear at the end of the round. [Balance: treat as sniper tower = infinite range to activate, but requires time to build up i.e prefer to place towards end of map]
- Spiked Mines: rigged with heavy explosives, the spiked balls are set to go off when they lose all their spikes.They explode after they lose all their spikes.
- Faster Production: increases the rate of spike production.
- Bigger Stacks: Generates larger piles of spikes per shot.
- Monkey Buccaneer: Can only be placed on water [note other towers need ground to be placed instead water], shoots a single heavy dart that can pop 5 blooms each before dissipating.
- Monkey Fort: All nearby towers get +1 power.
- Monkey Beacon: All nearby towers have their range increased by 15%
- Jungle Drums: Inspire all nearby towers to attack 15% faster.
- Radar Scanner: Allows all towers within its radius to be able to detect and target camo bloons.
- Monkey Intelligence Bureau: grants special bloon popping knowledge to all nearby towers, allowing them to pop all bloon types.
- Monkey Town: Enemies killed by towers within radius of monkey town get 50% more cash.
- High Energy Beacon: All nearby towers with 'Abilities' have their cooldowns reduced by 20% and adds a powerful energy beam attack
- Night Vision Goggles: Allows sniper to detect and shoot camo bloons. [other towers get nerfed version: does not grant detection to other towers]
- Flash Bomb: sometimes throws a flash bomb that stuns enemies in a large radius.
- Turbo Charge: increase attack speed to hypersonic for 10 sec.
- Glaive Lord: Creates two permanent glaives that orb round the tower[movement in circles], shredding almost anything that touches them. can attack camo.
- Glaive Riccochet: The glaives from this tower will automatically bounce from bloon to bloon as long as there is one close by
- Aircraft Carrier: Rapidly launches pilots that strafe the area with darts.
- Cannon Ship: Adds a powerful, indendently firing cannon to the buccaneer.
- Blade Maelstorm: covers the area in an unstoppable storm of blades.
- Tack Sprayer: Sprays out 16 tacks per volley instead of the usual 8.
- Ray of Doom: is a persistent solid beam of destruction. [so each sec deals tons of damage]
- Hydra Rocket Pods: spawn vicious little missiles when darts
- Criple Moab : temporarily take out propulsion systems, immobilising them for a short time.
- Temple of the God: the temple demands sacrifice, its arsenal of unstoppable bloon destruction is enhanced and modified by the types of tower sacrificed, Use at your own peril.
- Bionic Arm: arms become pulse cannons of annihilation, able to aim and target independently from each other
- Sun God: bloons who touch the sun shall be cleansed, and then there shalt be peace
- Monkey Bank/Investments Advisory: Generates $675 cash each round which gets stored, earns 10% interest each round and holds up to 5000 cash. Withdraw the cash at any time
- Valuable: Each banana is worth 50% more cash.
- Long life bananas: Bananas last 20 seconds instead of the usual 10
- Banana Plantation/Republic/Research Facility: Grows 6 bananas each round instead 4
- Dragon's Breath: Spews endless flames at nearby bloons, roasting them, continuous stream of fire, [propably creates a persistent fire damage area effect for duration = burst dmg]
- Summon Whirlwind: whirlwind blows bloons off the path away from the exit. Removes ice and glue from bloons however
- Lighting Bolt: zap many bloons at once.
- Zap: the missle will keep bouncing between targets not hit, changing direction until it exits the map.
- Bloon Trap: creates a powerful bloon trap that destroys all bloons caught in it, once full, the trap will destroy itself after a short time, if emptied manually, gives you extra cash, only one trap can be active at a time.
- Cleansing Foam: the engineer uses special dispenser to spray down the track with a cleansing form that removes camo and regen properties, also pops lead bloons.
- Sentry Gun: Automatically creates sentry guns and deplots them on the ground nearby, Sentries shoot sharp steel pins at the bloons but only last a short time [balance: burst damage ability]
- Fast Engineering: increases the engineer's build speed, producing sentry guns more often
- Signal Flare: Camo bloons popped by this tower permanently lose their camo status, and can be attacked by towers without camo detection
- MOAB Mauler: special missiles that wreak havoc on moab, inflicting x10 damage
- Cluster Bombs: throws out secondary bombs instead of frags, causing widespread explosive Poppage.
- Frag Bombs: Each explosion throws out 8 sharp fragments that pop even more bloons.
- Bigger Bombs: Shoots a much larger bombs than normal, they have a larger blast area and more popping power. [idea: knock back / sonic waves]
- Neva-Miss Targeting: homing shots instead 'hit or miss', seek out enemies intelligently.
- Bloonberry Bush: stores up to 200 thorns (like lives), grows x thorns every round.A maximum of 200 thorns can be on the bush at a time. can only be placed on the track. Each thorn can pop 1 bloo.
- Rage: After killing an enemy, gain an attack speed buff. Alternative rage every 20 attacks.
- Mad Snowman: shoots snowballs that pop and freeze. Lasts 10 rounds before melting
- Watermelon Spitter: eats a watermelon[cast time], then spits out the seeds to enemies.
- Bloonchipper: sucks up bloons, later spitting them out back with one layer popped off. -vs regen
Tower Abilities:
- Call to arms: Doubles the attack speed and popping power of all nearby towers for 10 sec
- Super Money Fan Club: Converts up to 10 nearby dart monkeys into super monkeys for 10 sec
- Absolute Zero: freezes the entire screen for 4 seconds. Does not affect MOAB
- Sabotage Supply Lines: For 10 sec during the sabotage, all new bloons are crippled to half speed
- Monkey Pirates: Takes hold of the nearest moab with a grappling hook and brings it down
- Spike Storm: lays down a thick carpet of spikes over the whole track
- Ground Zero: drops a single devasting bomb that destroys all enemies on screen except MOAB
- Glue: glues all enemies on the screen
- Rocket Storm: shoots out a missle towards the nearest 100 bloons on screen. Ouch
- Supply Drop: drops a crate full of cash
- Technological Terror: destroys all enemies with short radius of tower, 1000 dmg vs MOAB
- Summon Phoenix: flies around wreaking havoc for 20 sec [idea: tank / block enemies until death]
- Overcloak: target tower becomes super powered for 60 seconds
- Artillery Battery: bombards the screen for 5 sec, attacking every enemy 1 time per sec
- Moab Assasin: deadly missile seeks the nearest moab and destroys it instantly
- Beekeeper's Swarm: releases 100 bees that fly out to enemies. disappear after a bit
Gameplay:
- Level Design: There are maps with multiple entrances and exits. This makes the level harder, enemy path is unpredictable, tower placement is vital, as your towers may miss some of the enemies because you dont know from where they will come/leave. You cant just stack all your towers on one spot, enemies will choose the other way instead
- Micromanagement: Ability to define if a tower attacks vs [First Target] or [Last Target]. Usually towers attack the same target and some shots get wasted so with this optimization you can make enemies become more sparse, i.e instead of fighting a "continuous line" of enemies you convert them into line where there is a gap between every enemy
- Skillshot Attacks: most towers attack with skillshots, thus have the potential to hit more than 1 enemy if carefully placed
- Reverse Dungeon: enemies come from [dungeon exit] instead of [dungeon entrance], so you play the dungeon in the reversed order. [idea: reversed floors/ceiling like castlevania]
